On Sautrday, February 16, I attended my first event as Miss Andouille! It was the Italian Festival Ball held at the Southeastern Louisiana University Student Union in Hammond, Louisiana. Visiting Queens were escorted by Marines as we were announced and paraded around the room. Then we watched as the Royalty was presented. It was so great to see an entire community come together to support their friends, family, and neighbors! The very last Royalty to be presented was the beautiful Kasey Daniels, the Miss Italian Festival Queen. She looked radiant and was so proud to represent the Italian Festival! After the presentation, Queens were allowed to treat themselves to all kinds of delicious food the Festival had prepared for us. Then we danced the night away! I had a wonderful time. This was definitely a great event to start off my reign with!
